Salman Khan's ‘Dabangg’ wins Mirchi Music Awards: In this award season, only the film awards were not enough for actor Salman Khan starrer “Dabangg”, its music also swept the Mirchi Music Awards 2010 held Friday.”Dabangg” is awarded the best album of the year, which was composed by music director duo Sajid-Wajid.
Sajid-Wajid was also conferred with the music director of the year award for the song “Tere Mast Mast Do Nain” during the ceremony.
Best song of the year went to “Munni Badnam” from the film “Dabangg”.
Singer Mamta Sharma bagged two awards. She was chosen upcoming female vocalist of the year for “Munni Badnam” and the other award she shared with singer Aishwarya for the same song in female vocalist of the year category.
Upcoming male vocalist of the year award was named after singer Mustafa Kutoane for the song “Beera” of the film “Raavan”.
Male vocalist of the year award was given to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for “Tere Mast Mast Do Nain” of “Dabangg”.
Sandeep Shirodkar took away the award for best background score of the year for the film “Dabangg”.
“I am happy that the film is getting nominated in every award ceremonies and winning a few in all of them. Getting nomination is a big thing for me.
“I like “Tere mast mast do nain” the most and there is “Chori Kiya Re Jiya” which is one of my favourites,” Aarbaz Khan, producer of “Dabangg”, told reporters while entering the award function.
