Ranveer Singh to confess love for Kareena Kapoor

Ranveer Singh to confess love for Kareena Kapoor: The Band Baaja Baaraat find Ranveer Singh couldn’t stop gushing about Kareena Kapoor when he appeared on Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan with his ladylove Anushka Sharma.

When the show’s host K-Jo asked Ranveer who his favourite Bollywood actress was, the young actor jumped off the couch and went down on his knees to confess love for Kareena.

“I love Kareena. She is the one whom I have idolised from my adolescent days. She is the one who is responsible for making me from boy to man,” Ranveer is reported to have admitted.

Ranveer’s candour did leave the host and his co-guest Anushka a bit amused.

Not just on Johar’s show, we hear that at Imran Khan’s wedding reception party thrown by Aamir Khan, Ranveer couldn’t stop gawking at Kareena who looked super sexy in a black sari.

Madhuri Dixit to invite the three Khans for dinner

Madhuri Dixit to invite the three Khans for dinner: The actress was present Monday evening to launch celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor's new 24-hour food channel, "Food Food".

A confident cook herself, she was eager at the thought of inviting the three Khans over for dinner. "I would love to invite Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman to come and have food over at my place. I know Shah Rukh would always praise my cooking, Aamir would give me advice on how the food could be a little better, which would help me improve, and Salman would just say, 'where's the food, give it to me quicky'," a merry Madhuri told reporters.

Where women have a tendency in our culture to be better cooks than men, Madhuri has no problem admitting that this not quite the case at home, where husband Sreeram Nene's cooking talent takes the gold price. "He (Sreeram Nene) loves to cook. It's a natural art. Like I have the affinity for dance, he has natural affinity for cooking. He is also a fast learner. He's the one who aroused my interest in cooking and thanks to him I have become a good cook," she added.

Shahrukh Khan to perform India's top ten 'controversies’ of 2010

Shahrukh Khan to perform India's top ten 'controversies’ of 2010: TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor wants the superstar Shahrukh Khan. Why? To perform an act full of controversies.

Come February 12, and Ekta will conduct Global Indian Film & Television Honours (GIFTH), India’s first of its kind joint film and television awards, where SRK will perform India’s top 10 controversies of 2010. It seems Ekta loves controversy and is quite gung-ho about the theme.

As per reports, the controversies will include everything from IPL to Commonwealth Games and apparently some Bollywood related controversies are also under consideration. Shahrukh is a bit wary of the theme, and also wants to avoid some of the controversies, but Ekta and her mother Shobha Kapoor are too excited about it. Don’t we know Ekta gets what she wants!

It sounds exciting to us too. King Khan shouldn’t worry, he can keep it simply controversial.

Indo-Latin America: Bollywood takes to New High

Indo-Latin America: Bollywood takes to New High: When Latin American girls start wearing bindis, enquire about Indian superstars and Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan shoots a whole TV series in splendid Argentine locales, there is little doubt that entertainment ties between the two regions are flourishing.

Shah Rukh's TV game show "Zor Ka Jhakta", which goes on air Tuesday, is the latest to reaffirm these growing bonds. A team of 28 Indian TV and film celebrities and a supporting crew of 20 spent 40 days in Buenos Aires between December-January to shoot the show.

"Images of Argentina will appear when Shah Rukh Khan hosts 'Wipe Out' ('Zor Ka Jhakta') show from Feb 1 to 16 at 9 p.m. on the Indian TV Channel Imagine. Before each episode, there will be videos of Argentina," R. Viswanathan, Indian ambassador to Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, wrote on his blog.

"The Indian cameramen were fascinated with the fantastic sceneries of the El Calafate Glacier and the Iguazu Waterfalls and could not stop shooting....

"Another surprising Argentine connection...It is not only the images of Argentina which will be seen in India these days. The Indians have also started listening to the music composed by an Argentine in the Aamir Khan film 'Dhobi Ghat' released on 21 January 2011. Yes...Gustavo Santaolalla, the music director of the film, is an Argentine.

"Gustavo is a pioneer in the rock music scene of Argentina in the late sixties and seventies. He later moved to Los Angeles and started working with Hollywood. He won two Oscar awards for his music in the films 'Brokeback Mountain' and 'Babel'," wrote Viswanathan.

" Dhobi Ghat" director Kiran Rao will visit Argentina next month for the screening of her film at the Pinamar film festival.

These are the latest examples of the exploration of Latin America by the Indian entertainment industry. The region has exotic and attractive locations for film shootings and Indian filmmakers had explored it earlier also.

"'Dhoom II' was shot in Rio and a scene for 'Robot' was shot in Machu Pichu in which Rajnikanth danced with Aishwarya Rai. In August 2010, Priyanka Chopra was in Rio for shooting the show, 'Fear Factor'," he wrote.

Not only this, after Barbara Mori and Giselle Monteiro's popularity post "Kites" and "Love Aaj Kal" respectively, there are many youngsters from Latin America who are keen to try their luck in Bollywood.

"The success of these two have given rise to a new category of Latin American visa applicants at the Indian embassies. Young boys and girls want to go to Bollywood and also for modelling in India," wrote Viswanathan.

Technopark based animation major Toonz Animation India Pvt Ltd and Buenos Aires Illusion Studios collaborated to produce 3D cartoon film "Gaturro". Based on comic character created by the famous Argentine cartoonist Christian Dzwonik (Nik), the film was a hit in Argentina last year.

"The Embassy of India organised a Children´s Festival with this film during the Festival of India in November 2010."

Director Pablo Cesar is working on a co-production "Thinking of Him", based on a romantic story of Tagore´s encounter with Victoria O´Campo in Buenos Aires.

"He is looking for an Indian co-producer. This film would be one of the highlights of the 150th birth anniversary of (Rabindranath) Tagore being celebrated this year."

From bindis to Ganesh idols, the Indian flavour is becoming popular among the locals, thanks to the Brazilian soap opera "Camino das Indias" that ran for eight months in 2009 on Brazilian Globo.

"It was a story about India with Brazilian actors. It had a profound impact. The Brazilians have started greeting Indians with 'namaste' and taking them by surprise by asking if they are Brahmins or Dalits.

"The girls from Ipanema are now putting bindis matching with their bikinis. Exports of Indian ethnic dress, decoration items and Ganesh idols have skyrocketed. The soap opera has been dubbed in Spanish and is being shown in the rest of Latin America."

Another craze in Latin America is Bollywood dancing, which was a hit during the festivals of India in 2009 and 2010 in Buenos Aires. And people have also started taking Indian films seriously.

"The video rental stores in Buenos Aires have a number of Bollywood films. The Indian film shows during the last three Festivals of India attracted long queues of Argentines and the Embassy had to extend the film festivals for about a month.

"The facebook of the embassy has messages from Argentine girls asking about Shah Rukh and Salman Khan.

While in India, "Samba and salsa, tango and carnival and the Latino way of having fun and fiestas have already caught the imagination of Indians and especially the globalising IT generation," wrote Viswanathan.

Malaika Arora to teach Madhuri Dixit dance to ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’

Malaika Arora to teach Madhuri Dixit dance to ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’: The ‘Munni’ magic has rubbed on the undisputed dance diva Madhuri Dixit as well.

Not so long back, when Madhuri was asked to choose between the two hot item numbers - Munni Badnaam Hui or Sheila Ki Jawani - she praised both the numbers but chose Munni for its flat-out energy.

So while judging the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 with Malaika Arora, Madhuri did get a chance to shake a leg to the steps of ‘Munni’. Apparently, it was Malaika herself who took the lead and showed the ‘Munni’ steps to Madhuri.

What followed was the rare sight of two of the best dancers of Bollywood dancing to the beat of the most popular song of 2010.

The episode will be aired on Tuesday night. Don’t miss it.

Saif and Kareena shouldn't get married: Ajay Devgan at Koffee With Karan

Saif and Kareena shouldn't get married: Ajay Devgan at Koffee With Karan: Ajay Devgan is a happily married man but when he was asked to give some marital advice to Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, the actor said the couple shouldn’t get married. The incident happened at the ‘Koffee with Karan’ show where the host of show Karan asked the question during his famous ‘Rapid Fire round’.

Karan has been trying to get Ajay on his couch for the last two seasons and succeeded only this time around and the Golmaal actor has been nothing less than a riot and a shocker at the talk show. He has gone on to give some amazing answers at the show and without an iota of shyness Ajay gave the advice of Saifeena not to marry.

Well the media houses and the tabloids have started speculating the reasons on why Devgan decided to impart that kind of advice when he is married to Kajol for over a decade now. A source says that there is not much to read in what Ajay said as it was just part of fun and nothing serious into it.

But knowing Karan Johar, will he let such a remark pass-by just like that without prying into getting some more details about it, only the show can divulge more, since none of the
celebrities associated with the comment responded when asked. Even SOL’s managing director Fazila Allana, the show’s producer declined to comment on Ajay’s advice to Saifeena.

One thing that everyone says that Ajay was a blast at the talk show and in spite of being the sole guest, the episode is going to be an amazing one.

According to a source, on the demand of judges Madhuri Dixit, Malaika Arora and Remo D’Souza, Daya and his choreographer performed on the hit number “Ayo re ayo re”, and even got standing ovation not only from the judges but also from the audience.

To add to this, an overjoyed Remo told Daya that C.I.D. and Sony should consider introducing a Robot Cop and Daya should play that role in the show.

So far Anushka Manchanda, Renuka Shahane, Akhil Kumar and Krushna Abhishek have been eliminated, while Yana Gupta and Ankita Lokhande are back in the show as wild card entries.
