Salman Khan vs Ranbir Kapoor - 'Ready' and 'Rockstar'

Salman Khan vs Ranbir Kapoor - 'Ready' and 'Rockstar': The year has just kicked in and the star wars have already erupted. Trade sources say that Salman Khan's Ready and Ranbir Kapoor's Rockstar will both reportedly release on May 27.

While Ready is an action thriller, Rockstar is a musical-emotional extravaganza.

It would be interesting to watch the fireworks of having Salman and Ranbir out there promoting their new releases simultaneously. Ranbir keeps stressing that he adores Salman and has no issues whatsoever with the senior actor.

However, the trade and the media are standing back for some live action because Salman most certainly doesn't reciprocrate Ranbir's feelings. And when it comes to the box office, Sallu will crush everything that comes in his way.

Pakistani Actress 'Meera' will in Bigg Boss 5?

Pakistani Actress 'Meera' will in Bigg Boss 5?: It is the fact that Meera’s Times of India interview revealed that would she be part of Bigg Boss next season. She didn’t want to be part of the same house with Veena Mlaik and looks forward to ‘exposing’ her, whatever that means.

It is predict that the actress Meera enters Bigg Boss 5 with fellow Pakistani Salman Ahmad. While Meera will try to become “besties” with Salman Khan, Salman Ahmad will strum his guitar and recite Sufi mysticism. Meera, as evidenced from her recent television appearance, will blabber nonsense and tell all the houseguests she’ll get back to them with an answer the next day, when asked about the dirty dishes in the kitchen sink.

Salman Khan, Aamir Khan big stars in Bollywood, SRK

Salman Khan, Aamir Khan big stars in Bollywood, SRK: Shahrukh Khan unlike his nature has been out of the lime light for the most part of 2010, except or the beginning during the 'My Name is Khan' Controversy with Shiv Sena. He recently shot for buddy Karan Johar's chat show Koffee with Karan. Sources say that SRK got really candid on the show with buddy and talked with an open heart.

He let out a lot of secrets on the show, as rushes of the show also saw tears in Johar's eyes.

Shahrukh made a very unlike him statement in the show when he said that Aamir and Salman were grown -ups and he would like to grow up like them one day.

He has always considered himself the superstar, the Badshah of B-town. Shahrukh's rift with Aamir in a war of words has been quite public and so are his unhealthy relations with one-time buddy Salman Khan.

However sources at the set also say that his statement is also an indication of the fact that Aamir and Salman entered the film industry earlier than him and it was just his way of saying that made people believe he has given up the number one throne.

'Bhoot and Friends' Review - Jackie Shroff playing as Ghost

'Bhoot and Friends' Review - Jackie Shroff playing as Ghost: Guess what’s the easiest formula to whip out an adventure kiddie flick? First and foremost, put a bunch of bachcha log on the hunt for a missing treasure. Opposite them pitch a bunch of bumbling goons, after the same treasure. Now, the bachcha log is surely going to need a saviour. Abracadabra! Lo and behold a friendly bhoot to the little one’s rescue.

Director Kittu Saluja’s film Bhoot and Friends boasts of such stock characters in stock situations.

Raghav (Makrand Soni) and his friends go on a holiday to his grandma’s. There they befriend a ghost (Jackie Shroff) and set forth in search of a treasure. There’s also the evil baddie (Ashwin Mushran) who leads a pack of goofy goons to find the same treasure.

There’s obviously a showdown between the kids and the goons, but the little one’s outfox and outmuscle the baddies, but not without a little help from their friend, the bhoot. Jackie Shroff looks jaded playing the turbaned ghost whose magic tricks are not really jaw-dropping.

Still credit to director Kittu Saluja for some interesting sequences before the climax. The back-story is a bit of a let-down, but the performances by the kids (Makrand, Ishita, Aakash) make Bhoot and Friends a wee bit interesting. Otherwise, for the most part, this bhoot is a big bore.

Veena Malik a denigrate Pakistani Girl

Veena Malik a denigrate Pakistani Girl: Pakistani actress Meera is not happy with the way her fellow actress Veena Malik conducted herself on Colors’ reality show ‘Bigg Boss 4′ and accuses her of portraying Pakistani women in poor light.

‘Veena Malik is acting very cheap. The way she presented herself in front of Indian audiences is not right. She is denigrating the image of Pakistani girl. This is not how women in Pakistan are,’ Meera, who is in India to shoot for diector Faizal Khan’s Hindi movie ‘Om Allah’, told IANS in an interview.

Her liplocking courted controversy after people in Pakistan raised objections and she was apparently fined for this. But right now she feels Veena has crossed all limits.

‘If you come over to Pakistan, you will see how sensible and how cultured Pakistani women are. They respect their family values and are not how Veena has portrayed herself,’ said the actress who herself became controversial after her kissing scene with with Ashmit Patel in her Bollywood debut ‘Nazar’.

Veena came into limelight after her name popped up in match-fixing allegations against Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif. She was the cricketer’s girlfriend. She then entered the ‘Bigg Boss’ house and her intimacy with Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel caused quite a stir, sending the TRPs soaring.

Meera alleges Veena’s behaviour is a lousy way to garner publicity.

‘She’s doing all this because she is hungry for fame. She has no self-respect and is ready to do anything to become famous,’ Meera said.

‘She’s like that even in Pakistan. She tries to copy everyone. She can never be her own self. This is not the right thing to do as there are many other nice ways to become famous. Why stoop down to cheap tactics,’ she asked.

Meera claims she was also approached to be a part of ‘Bigg Boss’ twice, but she refused it.

‘I was approached to be the part of the show before and even for this season but when I came to know that Veena will also be a part of it, I refused,’ she said.

Apart from Veena, the fourth season of ‘Bigg Boss’ featured well-known Pakistani cross-dresser Begum Nawazish Ali.

After ‘Nazar’, Meera featured in another Bollywood moive ‘Kasak’ with Lucky Ali.

After doing ‘Kasak’ in 2005, this is Meera’s first Bollywood movie in five years.

‘After ‘Kasak’, I went back to Pakistan. Later my parents did not allow me to act here as I was too young and they thought I might just fall for someone here (India) and get settled permanently,’ she said.

‘Moreover, the tension between India and Pakistan also kept me away. But now I am back and hope to sign more Bollywood projects,’ she said.

Back home, Meera has been actively involved in charity work and has been working with former cricketer Imran Khan to raise funds for Pakistan’s flood-affected victims.

‘We would like to rope in Rani Mukerjee for helping us to raise funds for the flood-affected victims in Pakistan. I plan to meet her during my trip here,’ she said.

She has also expressed a desire to do charity work with Salman Khan and his Being Human organisation.

Kangana Ranaut's 'Tanu Weds Manu' on going

Kangana Ranaut's 'Tanu Weds Manu' on going: “Tanu Weds Manu”, which will see the fresh pairing of Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan, was initially titled “Manu Weds Tanu” but the name was changed at the lead actress’ behest.Director Anand Rai felt “Manu Weds Tanu” was an appropriate title, but Kangana who plays Tanu in the film, insisted that the title should be “Tanu Weds Manu” and not “Manu Weds Tanu” because the narrative unfolds from Tanu’s point of view, said a source.

The director was taken aback, but Kangana explained her point saying Tanu, a small town, wild girl, is the one in the commanding position compared to Madhavan’s character Manu who is shown as a simple NRI guy in the comedy.

When the director spoke to Madhavan, thinking he would get upset, the actor saw the point immediately and readily agreed with Kangana.

“It’s true that the film was earlier titled ‘Manu Weds Tanu’. However, we felt that ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ was a more suitable title, according to the demands of the script. So we decided to go with ‘Tanu Weds Manu’,” said Rai.

The film will release Feb 25.

David Dhawan never made any comments about Akshay's Film

David Dhawan never made any comments about Akshay's Film: Akshay Kumar seems to have become a bit sensitive about his film Tees Maar Khan. When the truth was said, he was not ready to accept it as that’s what David Dhawan had said about the film and this irked the actor to a great extent.

Tees Maar Khan has been touted to become one of the major blockbuster movies of 2010 until it released, but after December 24th while critics have given unsavory comments, the audience have not embraced it with open hands either.

So, at Anil Kapoor’s birthday party on the same day, the director who loves to tickle the audience’s funny bones criticized Tees Maar Khan and commented that it bombed at the box-office.

The remark that David made reached Akki’s ears and the actor didn’t lose anytime in picking up the phone and giving the director a piece of his mind. To this, Dhawan was prompt enough to apologize to Kumar since he didn’t want to burn the bridges with Akshay, as the actor is starring in Rohit Dhawan;s film. Rohit , the son of David has given Akki an integral part of his debut venture Desi Boyz.

A source said that though David might make such comments about films, he never means them as he just loves to gossip and there’s never any malice in his comments. On the other hand, when the director was asked about the incident, he said that he never made any such comments about Akshay’s film.
